❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Everything about this PDF to Word converter
PDF layout can include overlapping elements, custom fonts, complex paths, and multi-column text that is impossible to reconstruct as editable Word XML without errors. Image Mode renders each page exactly as it looks using the browser's canvas engine, then embeds the result as a full-page image in DOCX — so what you see in the PDF is what you get in Word, one page per page.
Use Text Mode when you need to edit the content after conversion — copy text, change wording, reformat paragraphs. It extracts text runs from the PDF with font metadata and maps them to Word paragraphs and headings. Tables are reconstructed from X/Y coordinate clustering. It works best on simple single-column documents.
This was the bug in older versions that this tool fixes. In Image Mode, each PDF page becomes exactly one Word page — the Word page is resized to match the PDF page dimensions, and the image fills it edge to edge. There is no text reflow, no splitting, no guessing.
150 dpi (High) is the best balance — sharp enough to read small text and fine table lines, while keeping file size reasonable. 200 dpi is for documents with very fine print or detailed charts. 96 dpi is good for quick previews or large documents where speed matters.
Yes, completely. The entire conversion runs in JavaScript inside your browser tab. No bytes are sent to any server at any point. The DOCX file is assembled locally using JSZip and downloaded directly to your device.
Up to 50 MB and 200 pages. For very large PDFs at Max quality, rendering can take a while since it runs on your device's CPU. For documents over 50 pages at 200 dpi, use the Page Range option to split into batches.
